23 November 2008 Here at Starbucks Shangrila making kalikot my new toy, a cheapness laptop which I bought just yesterday. And because I am so very much eager to test its wifi capability, I decided to avail of the shop’s wifi free access. Considering that we just transferred from quezon city to mandaluyong city a few weeks ago, I haven’t been able to reconnect our internet access just yet. Pangalawa, di pa pasok sa budget. Hehe. To my surprise, it’s not that simple pala. When I browsed through the available wireless connections, I clicked on the airborneaccess.net thingie, which required me to log-in my account name and password. Account name and password whaa??? I don’t have those! And because I was too shy to inquire to the staff how to go about it, I decided to drop the idea and finish my coffe instead. So much for free internet access. I would go home na lang and use my brother’s ever reliable smart bro. Ayun. Ambisyosang bakla kasi. Chos.

UP Centennial Pride March University of the Philippines - Diliman June 27, 2008
As the University celebrates a century of academic excellence, UP Babaylan celebrates its 16th year in this ongoing voyage of pride and legacy. A journey punctuated by the struggles and victories in advancing LGBT rights and advocating Gender Equality by the very first and the largest LGBT organization in the academic system of the Philippines. This Legacy of Babaylan produced a lot of firsts in the University’s 100 years of existence. The first openly gay Chairperson of the University Student Council, Mr. Percival Cendana, is from UP Babaylan. The very resolution that resulted into the establishment and strengthening of the USC Gender Desk is a result of consultations with the members of UP Babaylan, and was championed by Mr. Cendana as well. The first LGBT Student Leadership Congress which involved all LGBT student organizations and NGO’s in the Philippines was organized by UP Babaylan. This congress resulted in the creation of Lagablab, the very organization active in pushing and lobbying for the National Anti-Discrimination Bill. Before this year ends, we will create another milestone. We are pleased to inform everyone that you can look forward to the very first University Gay Games this Centennial year, another gift we offer to UP and its hundred years of Milestones. And even then, we are not done. Sixteen years. Sixteen very difficult years. Sixteen years of educating Iskolars about Gender Equality and Sensitivity comes with a price. Attempts to stain the reputation of Babaylan came from groups and individuals who don’t share our vision of a progressive society free of injustices based on gender. With each struggle against discrimination and intolerance, Babaylan has come out victorious, and this we owe to the Iskolars who valiantly took the challenge Babaylan offered to them. These Iskolars, who are now our Alumni and Members, continue to be beacons for those struggling against the weight of gender-based injustices inside and out of University. The struggle towards Gender Equality does not end here. This goes on like a long uncertain road, and we choose to blaze the trail. Fellow Iskolars para sa Bayan, we invite you to join us as we call for Gender Equality and the end of Discrimination based on genders. Be one with us, as we celebrate 100 years of Academic Excellence... Be one with us, as we celebrate 16 years of advancing Gender Equality... Be one with us, as we celebrate a day of Pride and Legacy... Be one with us, Iskolars para sa Bayan.... Be one with us.
One Pride. One Legacy. UP BABAYLAN A Century Towards Gender Equality.

They can't compete with MC(C)!
These screen caps are from Jay Leno's monologue televised a few days ago when he showed Mariah's cd and talked about how she is making history by beating Elvis for having the most #1 hits. Then he said, Jessica Simpson is following Mariah's formula for success and coming out with her own cd called 2+2=7.
HAHAHA! This is quite hilarious!

I STAY IN LOVE (Mariah Carey, from that Einstein album of hers)
Oh baby Baby, I stay in love with you
Dying inside cause I can't stand it Make or break up Can't take this madness We don't even really know why All I know is baby I try and try so hard To keep our love alive
If you don't know me at this point Then I highly doubt you ever will I really need you to give me That unconditional love I used to feel It's no mistaking We're just erasing From our hearts and minds
And I know we said let go But I kept on hanging on Inside I know it's over You're really gone It's killing me Cause there ain't nothing That I can do Baby, I stay in love with you
And I keep on telling myself That you'll come back around And I try to front like "Oh well" Each time you let me down See I can't get over you now No matter what I do But baby, baby I stay in love with you
Na na na na na na na na na Na na na na na na na na na Na na na na na na na na na Baby, I stay in love with you
It cuts so deep It hurts down to my soul My friends tell me I ain't the same no more We still need each other When we stumble and fall How we gon' act Like what we had Ain't nothin' at all now
Hey, what I wanna do is Ride shotgun next to you With the top down like we used to Hit the block Proud in the SUV We both know our heart is breaking Can we learn from our mistakes I can't last one moment alone Now go I know
We said let go But I kept on hanging on Inside I know it's over You're really gone It's killing me Cause there ain't nothing That I can do Baby, I stay in love with you
And I keep on telling myself That you'll come back around And I try to front like "Oh well" Each time you let me down See I can't get over you Now no matter what I do Baby, baby I stay in love with you
We said let go But I kept on hanging on Inside I know it's over You're really gone It's killing me Cause there ain't nothing That I can do Baby, I stay in love with you
And I keep on telling myself That you'll come back around And I try to front like "Oh well" Each time you let me down See I can't get over you Now no matter what I do But baby, baby I stay in love with you I stay in love Love Oh, I stay in love.
BRING THAT EMO MC!
(and oh! we broke up already. last march 05 actually. it was not really pleasant. the break up. too unpleasant i refuse to discuss in this blog up to this day.)

[15 Jan 2008|03:11am] |
Yes, indeed, it was, for a handful of reasons:
1. I passed the Bar Examinations, which i consider to be my greatest achievement to date. Not only it is touted as the most difficult licensure exam in the country, but it also is the most prestigious. yabang na kung yabang ng bonggang-bongga, but passing the bar is quite a feat and something to be proud of! Sweet victory for me and sweet revenge for UP for not accepting me as one of their students bwahahahahaha! (bitter na kung bitter!)
2. I gained whopping 12 pounds. and that is quite an achievement for me considering that i have NEVER breached the 100-pound mark before. I am no longer a kate moss nor a kiera (sp) knightly, i am now more of, uhmmm... beyonce, or britney (sans beer belly). btw, i LOVE britney's new album. it is solid. it rocks. totally. you should download it somewhere. hahahaha!
3. A boyfriend after more than 6 years of being single. he's quite cute and adorable. although he insists: "Maganda ako!" of course you are, baby! And i got to spend my noche buena with him as well. isn't that sweet. All together now: AWWW!
4. Holy week by the beach with dear friends. nothing beats endless chikahan with friends by the beach of mindoro. mindoro sling anyone? and the boys! one can never get enough of that combo. beach and boys. or bitchin with boys.
5. Work work work. I know. it could be dreadful sometimes, having to wake up early and attend to hearings and all the stuff lawyering entails. But this is what i worked for. and despite some occasional burst of frustrations, it's fun. it would be lot more enjoyable though if it was more financially rewarding.
6. Good health, great family, great friends. need i say more?

Wait For You Elliot Yamin
I never felt nothing in the world like this before Now I’m missing you and I’m wishing you would come back through my door Why did you have to go? You could have let me know; so now I’m all alone
Girl you could have stayed but you wouldn’t give me a chance With you not around it’s a little bit more than I can stand And all my tears they keep runnin’ down my face Why did you turn away?
So why does your pride make you run and hide Are you that afraid of me? But I know it’s a lie what you keep inside This is not how you want it to be
So baby I will wait for you Cause I don’t know what else I can do Don’t tell me I ran out of time If it takes the rest of my life
Baby I will wait for you If you think I find it just ain’t true I really need you in my life No matter what I have to do I’ll wait for you
Been a long time since you called me (How could you forget about me) You gotta be feeling crazy How can you walk away (When) Everything stays the same I just can’t do it baby
What will it take to make you come back Girl I told you what it is and it just ain’t like that Why can’t you look at me? You’re still in love with me Don’t leave me crying
Baby why can’t we just start all over again Get it back to the way it was If you give me a chance I can love you right But you’re telling me it won’t be enough
So baby I will wait for you Cause I don’t know what else I can do Don’t tell me I ran out of time If it takes the rest of my life
Baby I will wait for you If you think I find it just ain’t true I really need you in my life No matter what I have to do I’ll wait for you
So why does your pride make you run and hide Are you that afraid of me? But I know it’s a lie what you’re keeping inside That is not how you want it to be
Baby I will wait for you Baby I will wait for you If it’s the last thing I do
Baby I will wait for you Cause I don’t know what else I can do Don’t tell me I ran out of time If it takes the rest of my life
Baby I will wait for you If you think I find it just ain’t true I really need you in my life No matter what I have to do I’ll wait for you I’ll be waiting …

happybirthday jowa! The past weeks had seen various emotions coming from me. i've felt extremely sad, frustrated, disheartened, but i've also felt felt enormous joy, happiness, passion, and, overall i must say, i've never been happier. life is turning out to be good. really really good. thanks mostly to my lovey baby who is celebrating his 27th today! to you mr. terso-castillo, i love you always. you are great, childlike tantrums aside. :) you make me want to wake up everyday, go to work and have that incessant drive to lock up criminals in prison for good so that we may roam the streets in reckless abandon, without having to warn ourselves of the thieves that might attempt to spoil our happiness. :) happy, happy, happy birthday!

Men should ejaculate more, say scientists Monday, 15 October 2007 Scientists today recommended men should ejaculate more often if they want to keep their sperm healthy.
Research showed that men who had some form of sexual activity daily had better quality sperm than a control group who had been told to abstain for three days at a time.
The study was aimed at helping couples improve their chance of getting pregnant and concluded that men cut their chances if they hold off sexual activity. Experts said some couples seemed to believe men should hold their sperm "in" for days or weeks to improve its quality.
But the Australian research shows the chances of pregnancy are lower if a couple waits for long stretches between sex sessions.
A study found that getting men with damaged sperm to ejaculate daily improved its quality when couples were undergoing IVF.
Researchers in Sydney studied 42 men with abnormal sperm structure whose partners had suffered repeated miscarriages or failed IVF attempts.
The men were told to ejaculate daily for seven days and these samples were compared with ejaculation after three days of abstinence.
A total of 37 patients had less sperm damage - or DNA fragmentation - if they ejaculated daily compared with after three days, the study found.
The research was presented at the American Society for Reproductive Medicine conference in Washington DC.
Dr Allan Pacey, senior lecturer in andrology at the University of Sheffield and secretary of the British Fertility Society, said it was important to understand the "trade-off" between genetic damage to the sperm and quantity.
He said: "If you get above 30 to 40% damaged DNA, a man is highly likely to be infertile.
"There is a population of men who have a history of IVF failure and miscarriage in their partners, in whom there is an underlying concern about the DNA quality in their sperm.
"This research shows that when you put people on a daily ejaculation regime, it reduces that figure for DNA damage.
"If you can go from 30% down to 20% that is quite a big shift and that should have implications for fertility."
Dr Pacey said some couples believed they had a better chance of achieving pregnancy if they waited a long time between making love.
"There are men out there who think, or whose partners think, that limiting ejaculation will make them more fertile," he said.
"I remember one couple in which the woman would only let the man ejaculate when she was in her fertile period, so the poor chap was going without for almost a month at a time.
"But if sperm is released in a steady stream, the sperm that is ejaculated are newer and less damaged.
"There is a trade-off between genetic damage and quantity, so when a couple is first trying to get pregnant a wait of two to three days is probably advisable.
"But if you are a guy who has high DNA damage and a decent sperm count, it is probably in your interest to ejaculate every day.

[16 Oct 2007|11:37pm] |
yesterday. 16 October 2007
i attended my first hearing re: breach of contract with damages representing our plaintiff client. in my haste to avoid the morning traffic, i decided to leave home at around 6:10am. so, i arrived at the Marikina hall of justice at around 6:30 bwahahahaha!
di naman ako super excited.
anyway, we were the fourth to be called that day, but considering that all three prior cases ahead of us were only mostly motions, preliminary conferences, et cetera, i figured it won't be long before i presented.
i was right.
by 9am i was already calling my witness, giving her a drect exam, etc. by that time as well, lima na lang kami sa court room. ako, witness ko, judge, stenographer saka yung clerk of court. hahahaha!
FLOP ANG CONCERT KO!
in fairness critically acclaimed naman. my client even commended me for a very smooth sailing direct exam. the judge did not even interfere with my lines of questioning. of course she later told me that she knew i was a virgin so she didn't bother to be harsh on me na.
gentle. i like that. just like my first.
gentle. but not exhilarating.
i wish gentle. and explosive. like wow! ur the new ally mcbeal! slim and sexy and funny and... slim!
in fairness, sabi naman ng boss ko, not bad for a first court appearance. so yay!

| kung makapag blog! |
[17 Sep 2007|05:25am] |
I haven't had the time to update my blog for the past few days mainly because, well, my schedule has been really tight. i sooo miss the days when i could sleep all day and spend all of my time in the gym and/or surfing the net. lest you be misled, i am not complaining. i aint got the right to complain. everything is uber fine actually, except for the fact that like an artista, 4 na oras na lang tulog ko gabigabi. unlike an artista, di ako natutulog sa trailer, at walang sumisigaw ng pangalan ko. CHE!
anyhow, some MAJOR things that have happened to me the past few weeks:
FORGING BONDS, CHANGING TIRES
After an absolutely fun night out at an lgbt club somewhere in mandaluyong, and a quick look and a hipsway at che lu, Enan, his friend and a former dorm mate in UP (whose name escapes me at the moment) and I decided to go have a breakfast somewhere (that somewhere being chowking. san pa nga ba?). So we went to where enan's car was parked. So off we rode through taft going to kyusi. eh ang baklang enan, naramdaman niyang may di magandang tunog sa kotse niya (this while we were driving along UN ave)
enan: gurl, may mali sa kotse ko...
me: (deds, pagod ako, magdrive ka lang jan) baka flat.
enan: (drive naman si bakla. biglang tinigil ang car. baba.) GURL! KALOKA! FLAT NGA!
me: (siempre ako nagulantang. "yan kasi. kinuripot ang parking boys sa malars") AY!!! i dunno how to change tires!!!
Rewind.
twas already 4 am when we arrived in malate. so naturally, nakipagbargain ang bakla sa parking boy.
finally the spare tire was out. now time, to flex our gym built muscles and do the impossible. change the flat tire in the middle of the street with sm manila ogling at us at the background. how fab. how butch. how sooo not gay.
so we brought out the equipment na. jack sumthin, screw sumthin. ayun. wag niyo na ako pagpaliwanagin kung paano namin napalitan ang gulong. di ko na rin matandaan. ang mahalaga, nagawa namin palitan ang gulong at paandarin ang kotse! tarus!
eh how about your other friend you might ask? ayun. tanungin niyo siya. sasabihin niya sa inyo: ha? naflatan kami? kaya pala ang ganda ng panaginip ko. CHE!
BREACH OF POUNDS
FINALLY! after 28 long years! i have alreay breached the 100lbs mark! yahoo!!! 15 pounds na lang nasa target/desired weight na ako!!!!!!
This i discovered when i worked out at the ABSCBN gym kahapon, september 16. and oh! i saw that guy na world champion achuchuchu na kumakanta sa asap. jed sumthin. man. treadmill is good for you. CHOS!
MIGZ HERE I COME!
Yes. for the first time, makakatapak na rin ako sa lupain ng mga abusayyaf, ng pearl farm at ng ate.... papa miguel zubiri. iam sooo bukidnon bound! this i am doing for a client who is based abroad and who wants to put up a business in bukidnon so imma do some paper stuff there.
I am so excited i just can't hide it! i know! iknow! che.

[24 Aug 2007|05:21am] |
I am shivering with fever, my temperature almost hitting a high of 40 degrees. and what am i doing?
I'm stuck here in the office working on various complaints and other legal documents.
What does this mean?
1. I am sooo loving this job right now, i couldn't care less if i collapse un pronto as long as i am doing my job;
2. I am ass-kissing my boss just so to give me a raise and be kind to me;
3. I am in desperate need of money that a day's wage would make that much of a difference if i absented myself;
4. I have no choice. people have to work in order for them to afford to play.
5. trip trip lang. just want to test my physical endurance.
I say all of the above!
this is the real world indeed.
